Some reminders before signups close:

All participants must be the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
Style- and medium-related DNWs ("DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style", "DNW color") are not enforceable because of ambiguity and beginner friendliness. More specific DNWs that don't interfere with beginner accessibility such as "DNW gifs or animation/movement", "DNW use of the trigram/'eyestrain' color palette", "DNW blur effects", or "DNW speech bubbles" are enforceable.
When matching runs, participants who aren't be able to be matched as a gifter will be matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice. If you do not want to be matched to a Creator's Choice request as a gifter, check the requests summary before signups close to make sure the fandoms and characters/ships you are offering are matchable to at least one request. If you are requesting Creator's Choice, be aware that you may end up with more than one assigned gifter and potentially more than one official gift because of this rule.

Two special reminders based on signups that have come through already:

"AI art" DNWs: AI-generated images are not allowed as gifts or treats in this exchange and I'll permaban anyone who breaks this rule. If you feel more comfortable including "AI art" in your DNWs as well, that is fine. I want to make sure it is clear to everyone that you don't need to DNW that content because it is categorically excluded from this exchange.
You can only request and offer characters/ships that are in the tagset. Multiple signups have already broken this rule this round (they have since been corrected). Do not attempt to use optional details or DNWs to request a character/ship that is not in the tagset. This is not about requesting or offering "A" and saying "I also like B and A/C so feel free to include them with A if you want" - that is fine - this is about requesting or offering "A" and then saying in your optional details/letter, "I didn't see X/Y as an option but that's what I really want so please draw X/Y".
- If you do this you will be asked to change your signup. If you don't/can't change it or don't reply in a timely manner, that fandom or your signup will have to be deleted (depending on how many total fandoms you requested). If I've missed any signups with this problem please email multifandomdoodle@gmail.com so I can reach out to those participants.

As the signup close time approaches, all signups will be checked to make sure they follow the signup guidelines and rules. If there is an egregious issue with your signup, I will email the address associated with your AO3 account letting you know what needs to be changed. You will have 24 hours from the time the email is sent or until June 11 at 11:59 PM UTC, whichever is later, to make requested changes. If the changes are not made, part or all of your signup may be deleted so matching can proceed.

Finally, I am hoping for at least 50 signups for the summer round since that was my planned minimum number to be able to run a 2024 winter round of the exchange, and we are almost there... so if you have any friends who were always curious about fanart (or exchanges) but too scared to try, let them know! :)

Signups and nominations overlap by 1 weekend this round (trying something new), so nominations are still open until June 3, end of day in UTC. This means if you're signing up this weekend and realize you forgot you wanted to nominate a certain fandom/character/ship, there's still time to add it in! With this in mind please keep an extra close eye out for any misspelled, duplicate, or migrating tags in your fandoms and comment here or email multifandomdoodle@gmail.com ASAP if you notice any issues.

If you've nominated anything in the past week that is not visible in the tagset this means there was a question about it, so please take a minute to check and respond to the most recent nomination clarification post.

In the "Description" section of the signup form, you can write prompts for your artist to get a better idea of what you want. Kinkshaming, ship-bashing, harassment, trolling, and deliberately spiteful art are banned.
- Trolling includes egregious bad faith attempts to "game" matching during signups/assignments. To use last round as an example of bad faith gaming: If you have concerns about a potentially rule breaking signup, please just comment here or email the mod account so the mod can deal with it. Do not attempt to secretly deal with it yourself by signing up solely in an attempt to match to the potential rule breaker.

There is at least one signup with an issue/mod clarification so please check the email associated with your AO3 account within the next 24 hours in case the issue is related to your signup. If I don't receive a response to a signup issue-related email within 24 hours after it was sent, the signup may be deleted or edited to allow matching to proceed. After generating potential matches, there are a few participants who may need to add offers in order to be matchable to a recipient. If your AO3 username begins with B, G, J, R, or S, please keep an eye on the email associated with your AO3 username for the next few hours in case a mod reaches out.

Unmatchable participants who don’t respond to a request to add offers by 11 PM UTC on November 15 will be assigned at random to a recipient who requested Creator’s Choice of Fandom(s) so that assignments can be sent on time.

Signups: Check your AO3 email + Rules reminder

Hello doodlers!

The 2021 signup deadline is fast approaching so make sure to get any last minute edits in by 11:59 PM UTC today!

There are two important announcements as we come up to the signups deadline:

1. If your AO3 username begins with the letter A or the letter C, please check the email associated with your AO3 account as soon as possible today.

There are currently two signups that violate the rules because they have not requested or offered the required number of different fandoms. All participants must request and offer the required minimum number of different fandoms so that there is a higher likelihood of finding a match for everybody.

An email was sent yesterday detailing the changes that must be made to these signups. These signups have 24 hours from the time of the email to make the requested changes. Otherwise, these signups will be deleted.

2. Please remember that style- and medium-related DNWs* are not enforceable, per the rules:

However, please be aware that style-related DNWs will not be enforced due to ambiguity. Should your creator choose to give you a doodle that you feel is counter to a style- or medium-related DNW you listed, you will not be eligible to receive a backup gift or be sent out as a PH.

After signups close, you will no longer be able to sign up for this round of the exchange. If you have signed up, after signups close you will no longer be able to edit or change your signup.

As a reminder, here are the guidelines for signing up:

When signing up, you choose what characters/ships you'd like to receive fanart of, and what characters/ships you'll offer to draw fanart for. You can only request and offer characters/relationships that are in the tagset.
- The "Any" box means "any character or ship in this fandom that has been nominated for this exchange." It does not mean "any character in the fandom as a whole."
You can request 3-10 different fandoms, with 1-18 characters/ships per fandom. You can offer 4-10 different fandoms with 1-18 characters/ships per fandom.
This exchange uses "or" matching, and your gifter is only required to create something based on one of your characters/ships. Please keep this in mind when prompting.
In the "Description" section of the signup form, you can write prompts for your artist to get a better idea of what you want. It's generally a good idea to list out tropes, kinks, or visuals that you tend to like, as well as give some prompts specific to your requested characters/ships. "Dear artist" letters are not required, but they are welcome!
You can also include DNWs (Do Not Wants), which are things you don't want to see in your gift. These can include anything, but you may not use them to try and railroad your gifter into making one specific drawing (e.g. "DNW anything except a picture of catboy Kylo Ren kneeling at Rey's feet while she holds his collar and looks at him lovingly"). You may not use DNWs that contradict your requests (e.g. requesting a "/" relationship and then DNWing shipping).
- You are encouraged to list any stylistic preferences you have, and artists are encouraged to take these into account. Due to ambiguity, style- and medium-related DNWs will not be enforced (e.g. "DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style").

As the signup close time approaches, the mod will review all signups to make sure they follow the signup guidelines and rules. If your signup does not follow the rules, an email will be sent to the email address associated with your AO3 account letting you know what needs to be changed. You will have 24 hours from the date of the email to make requested changes. If the changes are not made, your signup will be deleted.

Hello!

After nominations closed, a tagset fandom cleanup request was made for Marvel 616 and two more requests were later made for DCU comics and KOTOR/Star Wars Legends cleanup. Signups are going to be delayed until the requested cleanups have been done.

If anyone familiar with Marvel 616, DCU comics, and/or KOTOR/Star Wars Legends fandoms is able to weigh in, please join the discussion on the Nominations Closed post -- this would be very helpful!

A post will be made here on the Dreamwidth comm when signups open. Hopefully this will be no later than end of day November 2 (UTC).
