After matching ran, one gifter was unmatchable on offers and that gifter was matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice. Additionally, several recipients have been assigned two gifters each.

We have six initial pinch hits, which are requests that came out of the matching process without artists. To claim a pinch hit, please comment below with your AO3 name and the pinch hit number you want to claim (all comments are screened).

Signups close on June 11th at 11:59 PM UTC - remember that this may be earlier than midnight in your timezone. 

As a reminder, here are the signup rules and guidelines: 

• When signing up, you choose what characters/ships you'd like to receive fanart of, and what characters/ships you'll offer to draw fanart for. You can only request and offer characters/relationships that are in the tagset.
  • The "Any" box means "any character or ship in this fandom that has been nominated for this exchange." It does not mean "any character in the fandom as a whole." 
• You can request 3-10 different fandoms, with 1-20 characters/ships per fandom. You can offer 4-10 different fandoms with 1-20 characters/ships per fandom. 
• This exchange uses "or" matching, and your gifter is only required to create something based on one of your characters/ships. Please keep this in mind when prompting. 
• In the "Description" section of the signup form, you can write prompts for your artist to get a better idea of what you want. It's generally a good idea to list out tropes, kinks, or visuals that you tend to like, as well as give some prompts specific to your requested characters/ships. "Dear artist" letters are not required, but they are welcome! 
• You can also include DNWs (Do Not Wants), which are things you don't want to see in your gift. These can include anything, but you may not use them to try and railroad your gifter into making one specific drawing (e.g. "DNW anything except a picture of catboy Kylo Ren kneeling at Rey's feet while she holds his collar and looks at him lovingly"). You may not use DNWs that contradict your requests (e.g. requesting a "/" relationship and then DNWing shipping). 
  • You are encouraged to list any stylistic preferences you have, and artists are encouraged to take these into account. Due to ambiguity and the beginner-friendly structure of this exchange, style- and medium-related DNWs will not be enforced (e.g. "DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style"). 

Here are some additional, general reminders: 

• All participants must be the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
• If you choose to request a fandom with no character/ship/setting tags in the tagset, your artist has free rein to draw anything that could reasonably be interpreted as having to do with that fandom. Any details/requests you add related to that fandom in your signup or letter will be considered optional details.
• If the tag you want to request/offer isn't showing up in the dropdown after you've selected a fandom, copy and paste the tag into your signup exactly as it appears in the tagset. 
• When matching runs, participants who aren't be able to be matched as a gifter will be matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice of Fandom. If you do not want to be matched to a CCoF request as a gifter, check the requests summary before June 11 to make sure you are matchable to a specific fandom request. If you are requesting CCoF, be aware that you may end up with more than one assigned gifter because of this rule. 
• Last year during the nominations phase we shared a few AO3 exchange guidelines & art posting resources that some participants who were new to either AO3 exchanges or to posting fanart on AO3 found helpful. These resources will be posted in a comment on this post.

Hi everyone, thank you for all your nominations so far! As the nominations period continues, there are a few announcements and clarification requests for participants.

Announcements

• All "Creator's Choice of Fandom" nominations are currently being auto-rejected by the tagset on AO3. For now, please either comment on this post with your Creator's Choice of Fandom nominations, or email your Creator's Choice of Fandom nominations to multifandomdoodle@gmail.com. 
  • Do not nominate your Creator's Choice of Fandom tags to the tagset with a different fandom name like "Creator's Choice of Fandom: Original Tag Didn't Work For Some Reason". This generates more confusion and more tags that need to be cleaned up, removed and/or reassociated. 
• Please remember to use the Group: format for & and / nominations (ex. "Group: Character X/Character Y & Character Z"). 
• Please check your fandom(s) for duplicate or misspelled tags and comment here if you notice any duplicates or misspellings, so they can be corrected before signups open.

These tags seem to involve only one character and the tags also seem to include specific prompts, which is not within the scope of this exchange. Remember that you can always put specific prompts in your optional details or letter during signups! Please clarify what you are trying to nominate or edit your nominated tags so the tags can be approved. 


As a general clarification, please remember that the nominations stage is the time when character/ship/object/setting tags can be added to the tagset. The tagset is not the place to put prompts. Tags such as "group: Elmo climbing into Oscar's trashcan & Oscar trying to push him out" or "group: Bert & Bert's Pigeons trying to lift him off the ground to fly with them" will be rejected or edited (e.g. "Group: Elmo & Oscar", "Group: Bert & Bert's Pigeons"). Please just nominate your desired character(s) or ship(s) -- you will have the chance to add as many prompts for them as you want in your Optional Details during the requests stage!

• If you are interested in a round of Multifandom Doodle that includes prompt freeforms, please provide this feedback in the feedback post at the end of the round.
