Some reminders before signups close:

• All participants must be the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
• Style- and medium-related DNWs ("DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style", "DNW color") are not enforceable because of ambiguity and beginner friendliness. More specific DNWs that don't interfere with beginner accessibility such as "DNW gifs or animation/movement", "DNW use of the trigram/'eyestrain' color palette", "DNW blur effects", or "DNW speech bubbles" are enforceable.
• When matching runs, participants who aren't be able to be matched as a gifter will be matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice. If you do not want to be matched to a Creator's Choice request as a gifter, check the requests summary before signups close to make sure the fandoms and characters/ships you are offering are matchable to at least one request. If you are requesting Creator's Choice, be aware that you may end up with more than one assigned gifter and potentially more than one official gift because of this rule.

Two special reminders based on signups that have come through already:

• "AI art" DNWs: AI-generated images are not allowed as gifts or treats in this exchange and I'll permaban anyone who breaks this rule. If you feel more comfortable including "AI art" in your DNWs as well, that is fine. I want to make sure it is clear to everyone that you don't need to DNW that content because it is categorically excluded from this exchange.
• You can only request and offer characters/ships that are in the tagset. Multiple signups have already broken this rule this round (they have since been corrected). Do not attempt to use optional details or DNWs to request a character/ship that is not in the tagset. This is not about requesting or offering "A" and saying "I also like B and A/C so feel free to include them with A if you want" -  that is fine - this is about requesting or offering "A" and then saying in your optional details/letter, "I didn't see X/Y as an option but that's what I really want so please draw X/Y".
  
  • If you do this you will be asked to change your signup. If you don't/can't change it or don't reply in a timely manner, that fandom or your signup will have to be deleted (depending on how many total fandoms you requested). If I've missed any signups with this problem please email multifandomdoodle@gmail.com so I can reach out to those participants.

As the signup close time approaches, all signups will be checked to make sure they follow the signup guidelines and rules. If there is an egregious issue with your signup, I will email the address associated with your AO3 account letting you know what needs to be changed. You will have 24 hours from the time the email is sent or until June 11 at 11:59 PM UTC, whichever is later, to make requested changes. If the changes are not made, part or all of your signup may be deleted so matching can proceed.

Finally, I am hoping for at least 50 signups for the summer round since that was my planned minimum number to be able to run a 2024 winter round of the exchange, and we are almost there... so if you have any friends who were always curious about fanart (or exchanges) but too scared to try, let them know! :)

As a reminder, here are the signup rules and guidelines:

• When signing up, you choose which characters/ships you'd like to receive fanart of, and which characters/ships you'll offer to draw fanart for. You can only request and offer characters/relationships that are in the tagset.
• The "Any" box means "any character or ship in this fandom that has been nominated for this exchange." It does not mean "any character in the fandom as a whole."
• You can request 3-10 different fandoms, with 1-20 characters/ships per fandom. You can offer 4-10 different fandoms with 1-20 characters/ships per fandom.
• This exchange uses "or" matching, and your gifter is only required to create something based on one of your characters/ships. Please keep this in mind when prompting.
• In the "Description" section of the signup form, you can write prompts for your artist to get a better idea of what you want. It's generally a good idea to list out tropes, kinks, or visuals that you tend to like, as well as give some prompts specific to your requested characters/ships. "Dear artist" letters are not required, but they are welcome!
• You can also include DNWs (Do Not Wants), which are things you don't want to see in your gift. DNWs can include anything, but you may not use them to try and railroad your gifter into making one specific drawing (e.g. "DNW anything except a picture of catboy Kylo Ren kneeling at Rey's feet while she holds his collar and looks at him lovingly"). You may not use DNWs that contradict your requested tags (e.g. requesting a "/" relationship and then DNWing shipping, requesting a general "Trans [Character]" AU tag and DNWing the character being drawn as nonbinary or transmasculine).
• You are encouraged to list any stylistic preferences you have, and artists are encouraged to take these into account. Due to ambiguity and the beginner-friendly structure of this exchange, style- and medium-related DNWs will not be enforced (e.g. "DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style").

Here are some additional, general reminders:

• When matching runs, participants who aren't be able to be matched as a gifter will be matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice. If you do not want to be matched to a Creator's Choice request as a gifter, check the requests summary before signups close to make sure you are matchable to a specific fandom or OW request. If you are requesting Creator's Choice, be aware that you may end up with more than one assigned gifter and potentially more than one official gift because of this rule.
• In 2021 during the nominations phase we shared a few AO3 exchange guidelines & art posting resources that some participants who were new to either AO3 exchanges or to posting fanart on AO3 found helpful. These resources will be posted in a comment on this post. If you have other resources that you have found helpful please feel free to reply with these, especially because Discord will no longer work as a permanent image file host by the end of this year.
• Kinkshaming, ship-bashing, harassment, trolling, and deliberately spiteful art are banned.
  
  • Trolling includes egregious bad faith attempts to "game" matching during signups/assignments. To use last round as an example of bad faith gaming: If you have concerns about a potentially rule breaking signup, please just comment here or email the mod account so the mod can deal with it. Do not attempt to secretly deal with it yourself by signing up solely in an attempt to match to the potential rule breaker.
