Hello! Unless you were granted an extension, the assignment submittal deadline for Multifandom Doodle 2022, round 2, has now passed. If you have an extension please refer back to our email or comment chain for your new assignment due date.

There are 4 new post-deadline pinch hits and 1 initial pinch hit which has still not been claimed for a total of 5 outstanding pinch hits, listed below. All of these pinch hits are now due Friday, December 23 at 11:59 PM UTC, or negotiable. Although the goal is for the collection to open early (in UTC) on December 25, this will only happen if everyone has received a gift.

Some additional reminders before signups close:

• All participants must be the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
• If you request a fandom with no character/ship/setting tags in the tagset, your artist has free rein to draw anything that could reasonably be interpreted as having to do with that fandom. Any details/requests you add related to that fandom in your signup or letter will be considered optional details.
• If the tag you want to request/offer isn't showing up in the dropdown after you've selected a fandom, copy and paste the tag into your signup exactly as it appears in the tagset.
• Style- and medium-related DNWs ("DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style") are not enforceable because of ambiguity and beginner friendliness. DNWs that are clearly defined and don't interfere with beginner accessibility such as "DNW gifs or animation/movement", "DNW use of the trigram color palette", or "DNW speech bubbles" are enforceable.
• Important: When matching runs, participants who aren't be able to be matched as a gifter will be matched at random to a recipient who requested Creator's Choice. If you do not want to be matched to a Creator's Choice request as a gifter, check the requests summary before signups close to make sure you are matchable to a specific request. If you are requesting Creator's Choice, be aware that you may end up with more than one assigned gifter and potentially more than one official gift because of this rule.

As the signup close time approaches, all signups will be checked to make sure they follow the signup guidelines and rules. If your signup does not follow the rules, an email will be sent to the email address associated with your AO3 account letting you know what needs to be changed. You will have 24 hours from the date of the email to make requested changes. If the changes are not made, your signup will be deleted.

Hello! Nominations are now officially open for Multifandom Doodle 2022... Round 2!

The schedule for this round has shifted slightly so that the nominations close date, signups close date, and assignment due date now fall on Mondays instead of Sundays. There will be no change to reveals dates (December 25 for works and January 1 for creators).

There have been no rule changes since 2022 Round 1 but please review the nominations & eligibility rules below before nominating.

Eligibility

• All fandoms, characters, and ships are eligible for this exchange.
• Original Work, Creator's Choice of Fandom, and RPF are eligible for this exchange.
  • Mods reserve the right to reject Original Work and RPF nominations deemed to be in bad taste (e.g. Nazi RPF). 
• All participants must be the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction. 

• Each participant can nominate up to 10 fandoms, with up to 20 characters/ships in each fandom. 
• Relationships between two or more characters are still nominated as individual "characters." To nominate a relationship, nominate them by putting "group: " before their names, in the following format:
  • group: Character A/Character B or group: Character A & Character B or group: Character A/Character B & Character C, etc.
• Romantic and/or sexual relationships are denoted by the / sign between the characters' names, and platonic and/or familial relationships are denoted by the & sign between the characters' names.
• You may nominate settings and/or objects as individual "characters" or as part of relationships (e.g. "Place: Howl's Castle", "group: Fawkes & the Room of Requirement", "group: Dean Winchester/The Impala"). 
  
  • Please nominate individual places/settings with "Place:" or "Setting:" in front of them, to disambiguate them from freeforms (e.g. "Place: Howl's Castle", "Setting: the Hundred-Acre Wood").
• You may nominate "Any"/"Creator's Choice" characters and ships using the format: "Creator's Choice of [x]". For example, "Creator's Choice of Dumbledore's Outfits", "Creator's Choice of Pokemon", "As Many Mythological Creatures As Creator Can Think Of", etc. If you nominate using the format "Any [X]" your nomination may be rejected. 
• Please nominate crossover relationships under the fandom "Crossover Fandom." When nominating them, please use the format "group: Character A (Fandom 1)/Character B (Fandom 2)."
• Please nominate original characters and relationships under the fandom "Original Work." Descriptive character names are recommended. "Mermaid/Pirate" is pretty vague, while "Curvy Blue-haired Tattoo Artist Mermaid/Roguish Tattooed Butch Pirate" gives a better idea of what visuals and dynamics someone might be looking to request or draw. 
  • If you have a gender preference for an original ship (e.g. you want "Elf Paladin/Orc Druid" but only if they're both female), you must nominate the ship with genders included in the names (e.g. "Female Elf Paladin/Female Orc Druid"). You won't be allowed to use likes or DNWs to enforce a gender preference for an original ship where the nominated tag is gender neutral. 
  • This exchange was originally designed for the benefit of artists in fandom. It is not an appropriate place to request free art commissions of OC(s) from unpublished media. If you have OCs in mind that are so specific they cannot be described within the character limit of an AO3 tag, this exchange is not the place to request art of those characters. Please review the art commission tags on your social media of choice to find artists who are open to commissions.
