If you've already submitted your assignment and are interested in creating additional doodles as a treat, all requests for Multifandom Doodle 2021 may be viewed here! Requests can be sorted alphabetically by fandom or requester.

As a reminder... A treat is an extra gift you've made for someone you aren't necessarily assigned to. Treats may be any medium (including fanfiction!) and need not meet minimum requirements, but must address at least one of the recipient's character/ship requests and respect their DNWs. If you want to create art for a specific fandom, character, or relationship that you weren't matched to, looking through the requests for a prompt you'd like to treat is a great way to do that!

When posting a treat, please use the "Post To Collection" button in the AO3 collection and make sure you enter your recipient's name in the "Gift This Work To:" field. Then, post as normal!

Signups for Multifandom Doodle 2021 are now closed, with 73 total participants. Hooray! 

After generating potential matches, there are a few participants who may need to add offers in order to be matchable to a recipient. If your AO3 username begins with B, G, J, R, or S, please keep an eye on the email associated with your AO3 username for the next few hours in case a mod reaches out. 

Unmatchable participants who don’t respond to a request to add offers by 11 PM UTC on November 15 will be assigned at random to a recipient who requested Creator’s Choice of Fandom(s) so that assignments can be sent on time.

At the time of this post, there are 59 signups for the first ever round of Multifandom Doodle. Hooray and thank you all for signing up! 

There are 48 hours remaining until signups close. Here is a countdown timer for your reference. 


After signups close, you will no longer be able to sign up for this round of the exchange. If you have signed up, after signups close you will no longer be able to edit or change your signup. 

As a reminder, here are the guidelines for signing up: 

• When signing up, you choose what characters/ships you'd like to receive fanart of, and what characters/ships you'll offer to draw fanart for. You can only request and offer characters/relationships that are in the tagset.
  • The "Any" box means "any character or ship in this fandom that has been nominated for this exchange." It does not mean "any character in the fandom as a whole." 
• You can request 3-10 different fandoms, with 1-18 characters/ships per fandom. You can offer 4-10 different fandoms with 1-18 characters/ships per fandom. 
• This exchange uses "or" matching, and your gifter is only required to create something based on one of your characters/ships. Please keep this in mind when prompting. 
• In the "Description" section of the signup form, you can write prompts for your artist to get a better idea of what you want. It's generally a good idea to list out tropes, kinks, or visuals that you tend to like, as well as give some prompts specific to your requested characters/ships. "Dear artist" letters are not required, but they are welcome! 
• You can also include DNWs (Do Not Wants), which are things you don't want to see in your gift. These can include anything, but you may not use them to try and railroad your gifter into making one specific drawing (e.g. "DNW anything except a picture of catboy Kylo Ren kneeling at Rey's feet while she holds his collar and looks at him lovingly"). You may not use DNWs that contradict your requests (e.g. requesting a "/" relationship and then DNWing shipping). 
  • You are encouraged to list any stylistic preferences you have, and artists are encouraged to take these into account. Due to ambiguity, style- and medium-related DNWs will not be enforced (e.g. "DNW traditional art", "DNW CalArts style", "DNW anime style"). 

As the signup close time approaches, the mod will review all signups to make sure they follow the signup guidelines and rules. If your signup does not follow the rules, an email will be sent to the email address associated with your AO3 account letting you know what needs to be changed. You will have 24 hours from the date of the email to make requested changes. If the changes are not made, your signup will be deleted.

Hello! 

After nominations closed, a tagset fandom cleanup request was made for Marvel 616 and two more requests were later made for DCU comics and KOTOR/Star Wars Legends cleanup. Signups are going to be delayed until the requested cleanups have been done. 

If anyone familiar with Marvel 616, DCU comics, and/or KOTOR/Star Wars Legends fandoms is able to weigh in, please join the discussion on the Nominations Closed post -- this would be very helpful! 

A post will be made here on the Dreamwidth comm when signups open. Hopefully this will be no later than end of day November 2 (UTC).

As of right now, all requests for nominations clarifications have been answered -- thank you for your swift responses! 

So that signups can open as promptly as possible after nominations close, please take a moment to look at your fandoms in the tagset and comment here if you notice any duplicate tags, misspelled tags, improperly associated/migrating tags, or any other formatting issues that need to be corrected. Thank you to everyone who has done this already! It helps the exchange run a lot more smoothly.
